Request for Florida Members & Partners: Winter Freeze Impact Survey

Research NAA

Dear NAA Members,

The University of Florida is conducting a Post-Disaster Assessment of the Agricultural Impacts of Winter Freeze Events (2026) to better document how recent winter weather affected Florida’s agricultural sector, including aquaculture operations. This information will help local, state, and federal decision-makers understand production losses and inform disaster response and relief efforts.

If you operate in Florida—or work closely with Florida producers, we encourage you to consider participating in this brief survey (approximately 10–20 minutes). Your input can play an important role in ensuring that the impacts to our sector are accurately reflected in official assessments.

If you are not based in Florida, please feel free to share this opportunity with Florida colleagues, partners, or producers who may have experienced impacts from the freeze.

This study is voluntary and confidential. For questions about the research, you can contact Principal Investigator Christa D. Court, University of Florida, at ccourt@ufl.edu or (352) 294-7675.
